Hello from Smudge.

Thank you Biddy!
News 109

Smudge has settled well.

He travelled OK until the last 100 yards when the nerves got to him and he had an accident at both ends!!!
So initially I had to take him straight through to the conservatory while i cleaned up. He soon settled in to look out over the garden.
In the evening he came in and has a quick survey of the downstairs where he met our other cat she growled at him but he did not make any noise or show any aggression to her. He miaowed to us and followed us about.

When it was time for my daughter Tabitha to go to bed he went upstairs where he squeezed past our other cat and the wall on the landing. Then I kept telling Tabitha from the other room to get into bed she was shouting back that she couldn't, I looked and found that smudge had put himself to bed just below Tabitha's pillow. We were all very amused! Tabitha had to get into bed facing the other way at first then later I negotiated a swap between the two of them.

Since then he has stayed at the bottom of the bed almost all of the time, just coming downstairs occasionally. He purrs like a diesel engine and seems happy to just stay In the warm. He has shown no real signs of trying to get out. Just for a few minutes during the night he wanders round the house calling but seems to settle down when i talk to him,  though our other cat makes it clear our bed belongs to her!

I will sent another report soon
Cheers Biddy
